Menu and Meal Guide
- General Swiss Meal Information
-
A Swiss meal is a lovely small event, often lasting as long as a good film. The Swiss like to fully enjoy the experience and think nothing of spending more than two hours over lunch and dinner. To an extent, every culture can be read by its national dishes, and Switzerland is no exception. The most famous dishes in the country - fondue, raclette, polenta, and R#246sti - originated as simple peasant meals. Today, Swiss menus are a combination of potato and cheese based dishes along with meat and fresh vegetables. Often visitors who do not speak German have a difficult time figuring out what is on the menu.
